Baby bibs for BLW: Grabease all-over bib, Bumkins sleeved bib, or Tidy-tot bib?

Baby led weaning (BLW) could be so messy and frustrating, but BLW is totally worth the mess! So I choose to raise my baby with BLW method and I know I need to stocking up on a few great BLW bibs, it help me to feel so much happier while doing BLW. Why we need bibs when BLW

It is of course to minimize the mess. A good bib can catch food easily, some bibs offer full coverage over clothing including sleeves, others are made from soft muslin or high-tech neoprene and some are more rigid, made with pockets to collect any spills. Not all bibs are equal and it is important to look for fabrics that are comfortable, protective, durable and washable, along with a design suited to your child’s stage and that is easy to fasten.

I always look for a durable, easy to wash and the perfect size for protecting baby’s clothes but not getting in the way of self-feeding. I also love bibs with a handy pocket to catch falling food. With a fresh bib for each meal, I can recycle food that’s fallen into the pocket back on to baby’s plate or bowl, also helping to minimize food waste.

But if you are one of those moms whose always let your child naked, then you might not need the bibs so much, haha.

Bumkins sleeved bibs pros and cons

The good:

• Lightweight but durable long-sleeved bibs featuring a catcher pocket.

The not so good:

• One small criticism from me was that the bibs could get stained with time

• If I went to a restaurant without air conditioner, my daughter will be pretty cranky due to the long sleeves and she feel hot.. I recommend it for at-home-usage

The good:

• The tray is easy to assemble, folds away for easy storage

• Comes with a storage bag

The not so good:

• I rarely use Tidy tots iconic bibs, in my point of view this bibs is not that convenient, it contains bibs and the tray, which I need to clean 2 separate items.

• It is hard to find a big space to dry out the tray, since it is pretty big.

• My daughter feels left out when she use Tidy tot, because the tray is so big, although she usually sit in her highchair, but Tidy tot’s tray is so big, feels distance, haha, what a dramatic daughter.

• She lover drawing, but the tray is not steady enough for drawing purpose.

Conclusion

Over all, if for home use, I like Grabease better than Bumkins. The Grabease bibs can protect my daughter from the mess better and catch the food better. Maybe some of you will concern about the Grabease bibs short sleeves, but this is the feature I like about. I am living in Asia, most of the time is hot here, I’ll let my daughter wear sleeveless clothes, so the short sleeve is not a problem for me. What I like most about Bumkins is the tie back feature. Digging dinosaurs

Inspiration of this multi sensory activity is just right for introducing letters and various types of dinosaurs, especially if your children love dinosaurs! Fill the bucket or storage container with sand, then hide some dinosaur toys, some of which have been sticked with a capital letter D and some sticked with a small letter D. Ask your little one to dig up the sand, then group the dinosaurs that have the same typeface, parents can also teach various other words that begin with the letter D.

Make bathing time more fun with multi sensory activities for children. Activity 1. Playing with blocks

We all love open-ended toy, it can be played for a long time with a little help from our imagination. They can make houses, towers, bridges, even cars. The benefits of playing stacking blocks at home include:

Now have your toddler find the matching “popsicle.” Now your child can insert the popsicle stick into the correct color of “popsicle.” Pretend licking of the popsicle must occur. That is always my toddler’s favorite part.

Activity 3. Cutting practice

This activity will let you capitalize on your toddler’s interest in cutting, but will also provide a controlled environment for them to practice cutting. Luckily, this cutting practice goes perfectly with learning shapes. Not only will this activity help to teach shapes, but it will also give your toddler or preschooler some great cutting practice!

Once you are done prepping the rectangles, get your toddler ready and pull out the scissors. Usually toddlers will need help with holding the paper and sometimes they will need help with opening and closing the scissors. Try to let your toddler do as much as they can on their own, but don’t worry if they need a lot of helping.

Children, especially girls, understand what beauty means. They even find out what make up is and try various products to their faces. Baby's first solid food

Babies needs to be given their first food gradually after having exclusive breastfeeding for the first 6 months of their life. Keep breastfeeding baby or milk-feeding for at least one year.

Many important developmental stages have been achieved by babies in first year of their life. Babies throughout the world have the same stages of development, but they may experience it at a different time. So, what kind of abilities that will they develop from the age of 0-12 months?

1. Smile

After two months of staying up and crying, at around 2 months baby finally able to smile at you. When hearing familiar voice of their Mommy and Daddy or when you tell them your jokes, they will response you by smiling.

2. Laugh

If you are getting bored with the baby's cry, be patient a little because at the age of 4 months, the little one will make another sound, they start to laugh! When you play "peek-a-boo", tickling or putting on a funny face, then come great laughter.

3. Sleep well throughout the night

Their ability to sleep well throughout the night may be a baby milestone that many new parents await. Normally, babies can sleep calm overnight at 4-6 months of age. Please be patient, parents!

4. Sit alone

At the end of the fifth month, usually baby is able to sit with help, either by leaning on a pillow or holding it with his own hands. The little one is usually only able to rise from sleep and sit alone at the age of 7 months.

5. Crawling

Stepping on the age of 7 months is your busy period as a parent because you have to keep an eye on your little one who has started to actively move. At the age of 8 months the baby has developed his ability to crawl with his feet and hands, although there are also babies who crawl using the stomach or not crawling at all.

6. Waving

His ability to wave his hands is very important in his growth development milestones, because this is the actual expression of language. At the age of 9 months babies usually begin to find a connection between sound, gestures and meaning. They understand that when somebody waving their hand is related to the word "bye-bye".

7. Eat with fingers

At the age of 9-12 months, babies have developed good control of their hands and fingers so they will begin to pick up various small objects. At this age they also like to explore taste and texture, so that everything they hold will also be tried by their tongue. Because of that, watch everything that goes into his mouth.

8. Stand up

At the age of 12 months most babies can stand alone without help. They also began to dare to step even while holding onto the wall or furniture. A few weeks or months before they are able to walk alone, the baby will spend a lot of time "creeping".

9. Walk

This is a milestone that most parents take memories by recording it, usually you can predict when baby will walk by paying attention to their ability to “creeping”. But not all babies can walk before their first birthday, the normal range is between 9-17 months.

10. Talk
